How to Split PDF and Extract Selected Pages

Splitting helps when you only need one chapter, invoice, or appendix.

Choose the right tool

Use Split PDF for ranges or multiple outputs. Use Extract PDF Pages when you need one new file from selected pages.

Split PDF versus Extract PDF Pages

Use Split PDF when you need several files, repeated ranges, or one output per section. Use Extract PDF Pages when you want one new PDF containing a selected group of pages. Use Delete PDF Pages when keeping most pages is faster than selecting the few you need.

Page-range examples

• Pages 1–3 for a cover section
• Pages 4, 7, and 10 for selected evidence
• One file per chapter for easier sharing
• A single invoice from a monthly statement packet

Do not confuse printed and PDF page numbers

A document may print page 1 on the fifth PDF page because of covers or front matter. Select pages using the preview and the PDF viewer position, then confirm the extracted content before sharing it.
